Planning a field trip for 100 students? Las Vegas makes for an exciting educational destination. To keep your students safe on a campus tour of UNLV or an afternoon at the Springs Preserve, go with charter bus rentals. For a one day trip, expect to pay around $150 per hour for a 56 passenger charter bus. With two buses to accommodate your group, budget $3,000 for an 8 hour rental. That comes out to only $30 per student for transportation. Charter buses take care of the driving, offer features like A/C, restrooms and TVs, and ensure everyone stays together. Tipping your drivers 10% is customary. So for an 8 hour trip with two buses, tip about $240 each or $480 total. That brings your total to $3,480 for safe, comfortable transportation for 100 students.
